I don't think there is a single best love song. It depends on your mood. The first that comes to my mind is "Unchained Melody" by the Righteous Bros. It was the song on the movie "Ghost". Their "Soul and Inspiration" and "You've lost that Lovin Feelin" are also awesome. They can almost be orgasmic all by themselves. Elvis also had several such as "Love Me Tender".
I'd start with Love Me Tender, move on to Soul and Inspiration and then Unchained Melody and end with the "Ride of the Valkries". That's if I'm in a romantic mood. Then there is the "You can leave your hat on", ZZ tops and Proud Mary by Tina mood, but that is more about plain hot lovin than "Love".

well i would have to say that a good love song is a very personal thing, one song that means a great deal to one person is another persons most hated song, i think if the peticular song pulls at ur heart strings and make u think of a person you love, it touches you in a very personal way, then its a good love song, wether it be a ballad, rock n roll, punk, pop, reggae ect.
