im new to myspace and im trying to decorate it by putting in a background and i need help doing that i got to the web site where the backgrounds are but i cant copy and paste it im not doing it right i need step by step. i want to put up a slide show of my family and i cant do that either ive looked at other peoples myspace page and its awsome i want mine to look like that. any help please!!

hi, My sister has become an expert at decorating her page and has been a great help to me and helps other people personalize their pages- she would be the person to lead you through fixing up your page- she is awesome. Anyway, I asked her and she said it would be okay to give you her link- just go to her pave , click on message me and let her know that I sent you and what you are needing to do on your page and she will help you out. She is very good at finding things to put together for whatever theme you are wanting, and she knows all the best sites for graphics layouts and myspace features.

For a background you need the URL of a picture that is hosted somewhere, either on myspace or another site. You can find good background graphics all over the 'net...and download to your computer by right-clicking. Then put it on PhotoBucket...

They give you the url of whatever picture that you use...use that and this code in your 'about me' section...

to make a background. The picture will repeat across and down, no matter what size it is.
I found lots of good info in the MySpace 'forums' section...Go to the 'forums' page from any page header and select 'MySpace' as a topic and then 'customizing'...they discuss all types of profile modifications.

Have you tried searching myspace.com HELP pages? other option is to search myspace search engines for other people with blogs explaining step by step instructions about installing a background and slide show? Lastly... why don't you click on "contact myspace.com" and ask them directly?

You can go to anyone's profile that you like and find there has to be a link somewhere in the about me section and you click that link and choose a background you want. Then you just copy the HTML code and paste it in you about me section in edit my profile and save it.

woah....one step at a time.
first I think you should go to whateverlife.com and get a premade layout there. or lots of websites have places that can let you make a layout...like...um I think zeebler.com can do that and so can profilejuice.com
(I can't remember the other websites.) For pictures go to imageshack.com and you can upload your pictures to the web and make a slideshow.
