i am proficient with songs containing major sevens and six add nines, but need to progress with out getting too jazzy. ive been playing stevie wonder(overjoyed), billy joel (just the way u r) and how deep is ur love by the beegees. anymore ideas?. ive play metal punk and rock but they r basic chords generally.

Sultans of swing, Dire straights. a bit middle of the road admittedly, but it sure improves your understanding of partial chords and rhythm/lead connections.

I'm not a guitar player and I can't read music but 3 songs I love to hear played on the guitar are: Hotel California (Eagles), Take me home Country Roads (John Denver) and More than Words (Extreme)
