I cant think of what it really is or where cantaloupes are really grown. Does anyone know?

They are really Musk Melons.

Some folks call cantalopes by the name of musk melons.

We grow them here in south Georgia along with watermelons, but I've seen cantalope for sale in the grocery store from Guatemala & from California.

I used to work in a farm store where some people refered to them as "muskmelons."
