The 700R4 will bolt up. A 200R will not handle that much power.
The shifter will have to be replaced. B&M makes a slick kit for Camaros/T/A I used a stock shifter and cable out of an early 90's T/A in my 81 Z-28 until I bought that B&M shifter. I had to drill 2 holes to secure the shifter to the floor, but the console went right over it, and you couldn't even tell.
The transmission crossmember (will need to be replaced also) and tranny mount out of the T/A bolted up to the Camaro with no drilling. If you you stick with same style vehicle (truck with truck)
G body (Monte Carlo, Cutlass, Regal) Camaro/T/A with same etc...
Most of the time the parts will interchange, or need little modification.
If you are not certain which transmission it is, count the bolts on the transmission pan. A parts store will have a reference for the transmission filters, and which model your is, or you can try Chilton, or Haynes repair manuals (also available on line). If you are replacing the engine into a car with an existing transmission, but had a different engine (smaller, less cylinders) you may have trouble ahead.

yes any tranny can bolt to almost any engine you need a special adapter to go between the bell housing and the engine and you might also need to modify the clutch and the inner shaft the compensate for the added length. i bolted together a c-6 to a chevy 350 small block when i was a mechanic, it wasn't easy but if you do it right and take your time it will work just fine.

you probably wont need a conversion kit.its the cable that needs to be adjusted right for it to shift correctly. i think the only pattern those trannys came with was a chevy patter so you wont need an adapter...you MAY however need to fabricate or drill different holes for the cross member and shorten the driveshaft depending on what was in it before...you also should hook up the torque converter lock wire to at least a manual switch so when ur cruising on the highway youl get better mileage.

Best find a better transmission. 700R4 is junk. There's another....something, something BPO (Buick Pontiac Olds) that is basically a 400 turbo with a tailshaft OD. That's the best transmission to use. Good luck.
