I asked this under politics too. Many feel that Prince William should be the next to inherit the throne. Since Diana was said to have more royal blood than the royals and she was the one that was hoodwinked into the hoax of marriage, her blood and mission should live on through her sons. Wouldn't it be better if both William and Harry had each other for a sounding board? Like William (as the oldest) would be king, yet Harry would also be there as well as his confidant and support? I think they'd make a great team utilizing the strengths and insights of both princes.

I'm afraid everybody took this email a whole lot more serious than it was intended to be. Since when do we Americans have any real say anyway.
It is more for general opinion or b.s. I'm aware that is not how things fly there.
I just thought people might throw in their two cents or take on things.

Many can feel that Prince William should inherit the throne next but that wont happen unless Prince Charles either abdicates after the Queen dies or goes ahead and gives up his rights. It will take an act of Parliament I am sure to make Prince William the King, under either action.

Prince William once he is king, can appoint Prince Harry to a post or use him as an unofficial advisor, but there is no such thing as a viceKing or something like that. The British royals have their paid advisors, the so called "Grey Men." I think that it would cause a bit of a controversy if Prince William would say appoint Prince Harry as his private secretary, and then pay him for that post, once hes king.

This is Great Britain and we just don't do that here. There are laws which govern ascension to the throne. We have a Prime Minister and a Deputy Prime Minister who are like your President and Vice President so why would William need support? He's been trained from an early age to deal with being a King and his grandmother, The Queen will be supporting him.

You are under the mistaken impression that just because it seems fair means that is the way it should be. Charles is next, then William. If something happens to William before he has children, then it goes to Harry. Period. The title of King of England is just a title by the way. They have no real power in England. Although I did read that England's equivalent of Air Force One will be ready in a few years and QE2 has first dibs on it always, which I thought was pretty interesting.

Ain't the way it quite works lady. Royalty in England has no professional authorities authority, so it quite would not rule as such. it is a make certain head monarchy which the British human beings tolerate. each and each era that passes, makes it particularly a lot less tolerable to the electorate of serious Britain. The relatives has collected a length able fortune from the tax payers, that in the time of itself has received resentment from those who conflict to make it by the each and daily fee of residing. to soothe the inhabitants, the royals were placed on income, besides the undeniable fact that even it fairly is over beneficiant, besides the undeniable fact that it has quieted down the most important critics of Britains royalty.

Unfortunately it doesn't work like that, the line of succession is law and can not be changed unless HRH The prince of Wales Abdicates. HRH The prince Henry will provide assistance to the Monarch.

I don't think either one of them wants to be king. I once read an article that stated Prince Willian would be the last King . He would abolish the title and turn the government over to the people.
