Having a lot of nitrogen in the soil will make lots of leaves on your plants & little blooms.

My 'mater plants are also tall like yours. But the sun & heat gets to them just fine & they ripen well. I do have to sometimes search underneath the leaves to get the good ones I missed the day before!

Probably too much nitrogen. Nitrogen forces foilage growth, which is necessary, but too much will give you a problem like you've got. Withhold the nitrogen and feed with a high phosphorous fertilzer. If you're using a water soluble, switch to one with an analysis like 10-30-20.

Are you pinching off the "suckers"? They're little branches that sprout out from the joint where a larger branch meets the stem. If not, that could be why you have so much foliage, and probably smaller tomatoes as well.

Good luck, nothing like a fresh-picked own grown tomatoe! Yum!
