I have a Caravan 2006 that has the auxilliary jacks. I can connect the the mp3 player to the RCA jacks. But now what? I tried to turn it on my car stereo to no avail? (I have the FM transmitter as well, but would like to use the RCA/AUX connection if possible). The manual only says you can connect your mp3 player to your car stereo, but does not spell out the rest. What am i missing?

You need a 3.5mm to RCA stereo audio cable such as some of the ones show here in this Yahoo Shopping search:

Obviously the are available online but you could also find these at a local electronics store such as Radio Shack, Fry's Electronics, BestBuy, Circuit City, or other store.

I wouldn't go cheap but I also wouldn't go super expensive with them either.

This method is far superior to the FM transmitter method because the sound quality is mediocre with FM transmitters and once you start driving and get interference, about the only thing you can do is switch to another radio channel or pull off the road to reset the radio and the tuner to a new channel.

No, till your CD participant has an auxiliary jack (AUX). If it does have a AUX jack, all you want is whats called an audio cable (a cord with what feels like a headphone jack on the two end). in case your radio does not have an AUX jack you will get one put in interior the vehicle or replace the CD participant with one that has an AUX jack.
