Because the two of them play for Manchester united, who of course are managed by Alex Ferguson who hates the English team with passion. in the past he's held back players to play in friendlies and qualifiers against lesser nations, and again this year tried his hardest to prevent Rooney from going to Germany.
its obvious that a little bit of this negative attitude has rubbed of and these players in singing the national anthem. want proof Beckham only started singing it after he moved to real Madrid!!

Singing the anthem is not a prerequisite for either playing for your country or being proud to do so.
And besides, God save the Queen is such a miserable dirge and inspires no-one. We should change it to "Jerusalem" or something a bit more uplifting.

When you play at that level andrenalin runs high. The guys are really focused and for some it is a really nerve wracking experience and therefore they prefer to perhaps listen to their anthem while they focus on the enormous task of having to perform for their country and its not always very understanding fans.

There are alot more players that don't sing it. They're not necessarily on the same team. But I've seem many players who don't. Maybe they're so nervous and are thinking about the game rather than what's going on around them at the moment.

Yeah, and if one of the Neville sisters and Shrek sing they'll automatically become so much better players. Land of Eng may actually be entertaining to watch. I knew it!

Well, they might not know the words - in which case they ought to learn them!
*Or* they might be republicans, and therefore unwilling to sing monarchist words. (This I doubt - at the risk of being unfair, I doubt the likes of Rooney spend much time thinking about the pros and cons of a constitutional monarchy.)

I agree. Just look at John Terry, he sings his heart out. Neville's a rat faced little bastard and Shrek never learnt the words.

Probably because they don't want to look stupid by singing the wrong words like most of the other players do.
It's "God save the Queen" at the end, not "our Queen" as is often sung.
