They are making a re-make. I think they'll absolutely CRUCIFY it personally. I am very upset - if they ruin it for me I will cry! Its the best film EVER

I have it on video and it is so touching i think. they have a LOT to live up to. I also have the book and the animation is so true to it - cause Peter Beagle actually wrote the screen play/ script whatever lol I just love it and please lord let em do a good job!

I saw this movie as a kid and it has stayed with me every since. The firey bully, the cat with a patch over his eye. I think between this movie and Neverending story, they are my favorite kids movies growing up. I have to agree, can't see them not screwing this up in a remake. Though, with hollywood, good chance it will never get made.

Yes. My daughter loved this film a few years ago. That red bull and the awful songs! Still got it on video taped from the telly about 5 years ago.

I've seen it and read the book. I also have a T-shirt that I bought at Hot Topic. I think it would be great if they remade it, but only if they don't butcher it.

i have to agree with you on that one. i have never understood why people have to remake something that in itself is a classic and not meant to be remade! they need to leave it alone!
