provide factual data to support their beliefs. Additionally these same people disregard evidence provided by so called "liberals".
It's likethe constant repetition of the tired old mantras replaces research. Is this a result of the dumbing down of America?

I see it like the German supporters of Hitler during WW2, after the demise of the USA they will have to come to terms with their blindness.
Dubya's policies are not new :-
“Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”

The U.S. has always been stupid. I mean, I don't think people are any stupider as a group than they were in the past. But now there are so many media outlets for the inherent stupidity of Americans that it seems like it's much more prevalent. It's just more obvious, not more prevalent.
Cheap, angry, hostile, stupid answers will always sell--it's easy to either agree wholeheartedly or say, wow, what a moron. Crackpot liberals might get a little press, but aggressive conservative idiots are in vogue right now. Subtlety is out, man. Like take that William F. Buckley guy, the father. He had that show on PBS on weekends with the trumpet theme song...I don't remember the name. Anyway, a lot of his stuff was conservative, but he was smart and interesting and even if I didn't agree with his thoughts completely, I appreciated the fact that he was bright and well-educated and he thought things through pretty thoroughly. Or Louis Rukeyser--I'd actually watch him talk about economics even though he was conservative because he was a cool guy and he had good guests. It's kinda like Billy Graham--he was a kind, good-natured writer, and even if I didn't agree with him 100% about religious stuff, I'd definitely read his column. But who sells? That nut who claims to bench-press a ton or whatever he's doing for God. Ugh.
I do think the media have been dumbed down to a great extent. It's like the cheap-fast-good principle of customer service. You only get two of the three. These shows have loudmouth numbskulls who don't want to bother with proper research and thinking time and hiring good production people to keep them looking halfway competent. So you get cheap and fast. But not good. The proliferation of "news" shows in the past couple of years shows that there's a lot of profit to be made from the format and a lot of blabbermouths who want a lot of publicity. The Jerry Springer concept has been moved over to journalism. Mantras are everywhere--bumper stickers, t-shirts, soundbites, banner ads. People dig this cheap, crappy rhetoric because it's easier than actually thinking up good solutions. Shame on them, but...wait a minute! If God's on their side, then maybe they're actually right! (That was sarcasm. In case somebody reading this is one of those stupid Americans.)

The reason that conservatives don't provide resources to back up their stories is because the only sources that liberals believe are the liberal media outlets (network news, CNN, newspapers, etc.) Whenever a conservative backs up his point of view with a resource like the Drudge Report or Fox News, he just gets bashed down and called a racist or warmonger.
You say that conservatives need to open their ears to different opinions, well when liberals stop bashing conservatives just for breathing I might agree with you.

Because you pervert things and calli killers "freedom fighters".
You should bless God that Israel and USA exists and pray for it to stay forever - otherwise Arab countries would destroy each other – they hate each other so much – just look at the modern history of 19 and 20 century
