I regret not taking piano lessons more seriously, my mother wanted us to play. We took lessons for a couple of years, but the instructor finally told my mom she was wasting her money. I regret it now because I wish I could play. I'm thinking of taking lessons again.

Take lessons again. You will do well because you want to. It'll take work but anything that is valuable is worth your time and effort.

I wanted to learn piano, ballet, sewing, knitting, drawing, and learn Chinese brush painting from a renown master who's my dad's friend.
But was all rejected by my mom, because she competed with me over my dad's attention and fondness. My childhood days had been physically abused by my mom, because she got angry very easily. My private teacher also hit me in the head whenever I did some homework mistakes.
My dad loves me, but he could only put it in his heart.
I have grown to understand from my childhood that *Truth* can only be found in myself. It gives me strength to understand that I cannot rely on other people, even those who claim authority over me.
Despite all childhood regrets, I have gone a long way learning to forgive and to love. And, this is something I'll never regret.

I was forced to take eight years of lessons without any desire to play an instrument. My only regret is that I couldn't convince my parents to let me quit sooner!
