i agree with you. There's nothing better than ending a career with winning the championship. It would be horrible for him to come back and then lose( although I feel the heat have a great chance of winning it again). Gary Paton was in search of a nba championship, and he got what he wanted. However, it would suck for him to retire, and then the Heat win again and he is not apart of that championship, I think that would be a bitter sweet moment in payton's life. I would, love for the team to come back with the same "15 strong" that won this season's championship, but reality tells me that that won't occur. GO HEAT. i hope that Gary makes the best decision, what that decision is I don't know.

He still has alot of game left in him. He can still play some real good defense and score. Just because he finally won a championship ring, that doesn't mean his love for the game is gone. Its sometimes hard to leave something you really loved and enjoyed. Thats why MJ came out of retirement twice. So no i don't feel he should retire.

No, the glove still has game. He's nearing the end though. Probably looking at a reserve role now. What a great guy to have on your bench to teach the newbies how to play. Even if doesn't contribute as much on the floor these days, he has so much to give in helping his teammates prepare. Keep him around a little longer. After all his great years, the dude should have earned a little respect.

Even though his best days are behind him, I believe GP can still be a solid contributoror off the bench. Don't put The Glove in the retirement home just yet. He still has a few years left in him.

if he can nevertheless upward push up and down the floor, stay remote from d-wade and shaq, and merely provide them the ball he can play for 5 extra years. and promises miami 5 extra championships at the same time as nevertheless playing. makin him an absolute first ballet into the corridor.
