WII - best original games. Good for the Family.

X360 - best audience/developer actractor. Favored by the casual gamer.

PS3 - best performance. Favored by the techno-buffs.

Though I'm a Sony fan, I doubt I'll be getting a PS3 for a long while because of the expense. Not only that, but with it debutting Blu-Ray before the format has taken off and contributes to a decent part of the price makes me want to wait.

X360 seems to be the most favored for awhile to come until/if and when the PS3 becomes reasonable for the market majority.

Nintendo has a strange strategy of not getting very technical. It keeps it's pricetag low but performance will be limited. Its competitors will be able to out perform Wii.

The controllers: I have no true opinion yet. I'd rather have rumble feature over motion sensoring. Nintendo's motion sensoring controller looks awkward, but if you are a Star Wars fan, you can bet Wii is going to be the best LightSaber simulator. The PS2 only had one game for the motion sensoring and developers are not favoring it. X360 is the classic rumbling feature, which I still like for almost all games.

I favor solo-play over multi-play, so I don't get into the Online stuff.

What do I perfer?
* Wii is not in my competitive perspective. Its games and features are something that you get because the competitors wont and cant get.
* Until the PS3 price drops and Blu-Ray takes off, X360 is going to rein over the market unless something happens. After that PS3 will pass X360 in favorability.

... ... Man, I talk lots. :P

I dunno. Xbox360 has online play called "Xbox Live" with an annual $50 subscription fee but has two awesome online games: Halo2 and the game "Chromehounds" where you get to build your own combat machine and use team-based tactics to fight other players in order to control territory online.

But PS3 will have free online play (although game companies may still charge you to play their games online)! It will also have superior visuals and physics.

PS3 is going to be filthy expensive, though (the console may be more than $500!). I would wait until after the holidays to decide between the three.

I like the Wii controller design and concept A LOT but I have to wait and see what that console has to offer in games.

Either a PS3 or Xbox360 is a sure thing, but PLEASE wait until PS3 comes out before making a decision.

DEFINATELY the Wii. It will be the best controller ever! It is like a remote...
You hold it like a racket and swing it in tennis games,
You swing it and wave it in orchestra games,
You guide Mario with it in Mario games,
You use it like a joystick in flying games,
And LOADS more!!!
Buy it!!!
PLUS IT WILL PROBABLY BE CHEAPER THAN THE OTHERS!!!
