Disagree. How could you even think that if you are a rational person? Israel has constantly tried to compromise... just look at their recent withdrawal from Gaza. Nothing will make the Palestines happy until all Israelis are dead... and that is not acceptable

Sure if your idea of world peace is a world of dead people. A world where women are second class citizens. A world where history is abhorred. A world where the freedom to ask such questions does not exist. A world that will be run by ignorant mad men. A world where the life of a child means nothing. A world where holding your wife's hand in public could get you killed. A world where people are arrested for dressing differently. A world where you will never vote. A world where your voice not only better not but will not be heard by your leaders. A world that wishes to be back in the middle ages. A world that would never allow you to shave your beard. A world where your children will grow up in state sponsored fear.

So sure, if this is the world you want. Then I guess that America and our great allies and the ONLY free people in the Middle East the Israelis are a threat to you.

If this is what you think, then you are a sad, poor of soul and spirit mentally crippled man. I hope your parents didn't live to see you grow into such a bastion of ignorance.

Please go out and read a book, watch something other than infotainment. Open your eyes and for the benefit of all of us here on the internet. Think before you post something so shameful.

Israel is just trying to survive in a region where they are surrounded by nations sworn to their destruction. They are no threat. They want peace more than anyone else in the region. If it weren't for the US, Israel would be mopping the whole area up. The US is the only thing restraining them. The US is not there to protect Israel. The US is there to hold Israel back from putting a world of hurt on all of there neighboring enemies. Israel can and would do it.

I do! also think that the USA is a bigger threat to world peace than Saddam ever was. I also think that the USA and Israel are a bigger threat to world peace than all other countries combined, incl Nth Korea and Iran. BOO YAA!!!

The people of the Middle East can't revolt because the US has made deals with their oppresive feudal rulers. You Americans are so ignorant of your own complicity in the world's badness. You think you are the good guys but you are not. Lots of Love from a white person from an English speaking country. XXXXXXXXXXX

PS. Apart from Grey Bear and me (so far) the rest of you are the ones that are brainwashed. Thats because you watch CNN and Fox News. Spin Spin Spin Spin Spin.

PPS and Homer proves the point for the other side with his confused and contradictory argument. Kaching!

Oh I am so un-American and loving it!!! I love Jews. It doesn't mean I have to love Israel. Du-uh!!

ppps The USA is the only country backing Israel right now the rest of the world is appalled at them. People from my own city are trapped in Lebanon right now. If they get killed, I will be extremely p*ssed.

Quote of the day "I feel almost ashamed to have to call myself Jewish when I hear what the Israelis are doing in Lebanon" This was said by an 81 year old Jewish survivor of Hitler's death camps, and was reported in The Dominion Post (NZ) on Sat 15 July 2006

I can't believe that people with violent and vengeful attitudes displayed on this page can fancy themselves as good people. What is wrong with you that you have to belittle and murder other cultures to feel good about yourselves. Most of you people represent exactly whats wrong in the world today on both "sides" with your ill-informed posturing and advocation of violence. Are any of you Christians? I'm not but at least I don't advocate killing anybody. Jesus said "Turn the other cheek."

Get with the programme USA, the whole world hates you for the way you act. You are bullies and you threaten everybody the same way you are doing on this page.

CRZPT I am ashamed of you. Be careful, what you say is a reflection of how you yourself really are.

I think gciasle has a good point. Israel is attacking a nation that can't even defend themself... so what's the difference between Saddam and Israel? To me it seems like they love to oppress weaker people... maybe to show their power? Don't get me wrong, I'm not an anti-jew person, but with everything going on, the WW III is not a far-fetched idea... also Israel is educated so they should've approached the problem more diplomatically...

We like the Israeli people just like we like the arabs. Saddam never was a threat to world peace. America gave them weapons to use against Iran and Kuwait so that they can invade the country to sip free oil which is what they are doing right now. So we can say that the USA is the biggest threat to world peace... I would like to educate you more but I have a translation job to do ..BYE...

I think both had, and now Israel have, the same threat to the peace in the world, especially in the middle east.

Many believe that the uncontrolled abuse of power by the U.S. represents the greatest threat to world peace. Unbalanced power tends to overwhelm. Power tends to corrupt. An unchecked force is dangerous; to be useful energy needs to be harnessed and turned to a worthwhile end.

Saddam, unpleasant as he was, was never much of a threat to world peace.

The present situation in the middle east is unfortunate, but a nation must protect itself and its citizens. The U.S. has a right to defend itself; so do all others.

Not me. The government of Israel is the only stable democracy in that part of the world. If the rest of those countries want to pretend that it's 1000 AD, that doesn't make them legitimate.

One day, the peoples of the Middle East will revolt and install democracy. Until then, they will continue to behave like unruly children and murderers.

ugh.... yawn.....

Need I remind you that the only times that Israel has attacked has been to defend itself or in retaliation to suicide bombers.. Israel has bent over backwards for the Palestinians by giving up the Golan Heights area, the Gaza strip and parts of the West Bank. The Islamic extremists won't be happy until Israel is completely "wiped off the face of the earth" (to quote the president of Iran).. So, I throw the question back to you... who is the real threat here, comrade????
