i totally agree that there has been a lot of cheating going on lately in football/soccer. I think the players should be more focused on scoring goals rather than diving and acting. I also hope that in the next world cup fifa will hire better referees than this time bcuz they were very unfair.

Whoa there!! I know you're upset by the dirty playing going on right now but there's no need to be turned off (as some people before me have said) the game. I agree that there's too much violence in what was once called a beautiful game. The amount of red and yellow cards are incredible!! And there aren't so many goals nowadays too, so the games become (SOMETIMES) kind of boring.

dont let your opinion of the italians change your opinion of football. if they find it nessesary to cry over a little competition (ie australia) well so be it.. there the ones that will have to live with the fact that they won the 2006 world cup by cheating, not by pure skill and talent. i think the only 2 italian players that can be commended for there efforts are grosso (scoring that final penalty under such extreme pressure would not have been easy) and there goal keeper. who showed why he is the best goal keeper in the world that night.

This saga with the Italians and the recent world cup has really been an eye opener for me, seeing the scandal going on off the pitch in Italy and the scandal on the pitch and the amount of play acting and diving that goes on, which eveyone seems to do but England, and everyone else gets away with, we put one foot wrong and are slated for it!

im glad italy beat france but hasnt it been known for quite some time that juventus fixes matches?? however, thats no reason to be turned off from the game because there are plenty of clubs that dont cheat. just find someone else to support!

It is not the players who are cheats but the directors who are taking to make millions out of the merchandising dream called football.
