Oh, yes. Asimov was the best. Heinlein, Fred Pohl, Poul Anderson, Arthur C. Clarke. The classics. But also: Karen Traviss, Jack McDevitt, Vernor Vinge, James Hogan, Orson Scott Card.

I like Asimov and Heinlein. So much of what they're calling scifi today is fantasy or even horror. I like to see some science in it.
