Ayrshire, Guernsey, Brown Swiss, Jersey, Holstein, shorthorn.
There hooves are naturally filed when they walk around. As for the horns. When they are young, you can put dehorning paste on where their horns develop. It keeps the horns from growing.

Other than Jersey and Holstein here are six breeds of dairy cattle: Ayrshire, Dutch Belted, Guernsey, Kerry, MILKING Shorthorn (Shorthorn is a beef breed, Milking Shorthorn is the dairy breed), and Milking Devon.

Many cattle wear down their hooves on their own. However, in the Dairy industry the condition of the cattles hooves and feet are very important. Therefore hoof trimming is very important. Very oftern the same tools are used as are with horses( such as a rasp), but they also use snippers often.

Dehorning is normally done with a paste at a very young age, but there is also a burning method using a electric dehorner.

I am not real familiar with Dairy cows but I think those above answered that for you. I have burnt plenty of horns. When they are small calves, their horns are just a bump. You take a hot horn iron (it's just round at the end) when it is good and hot, you put it over the bump, leave it on about 3 or 4 seconds while turning it, then you take the heel of your hand and knock the cap off, then burn it again for another second or two. If they are older and have bigger horns, sometimes you have to cut them off with a special tool. It has two wood handles and the top is round. You put the tool on, pull the handles away from each other and it cuts it off. Then you take a horn iron and cauterize it because it almost always bleeds. That stops the bleeding.

ayrshire, brown swiss, guernsey, holstien, jersey, milkin shorthorn

usually they use grinders, they can be rasped though, but usually they use nippers jus lik horses then they use a grinder

u can dehorn with scoops(they cut into the head n cut out the root of the horn), electric dehorners(burns the horns, to the point that it stunts growth), acid paste(it gets spread on n eats away the horn), or they can trim it bak with cutters(like bolt cutters
