Depends on your state. I'm in WA, and they would look at your income as well, as it affects what he's able to pay. For instance, your income helps pay his rent, electricity, etc. So they would say since he's not 100% supporting himself, a larger % of his income can go to supporting his child.

How many women does he pay child support to? In my state the judge solely considers his income. But, if he falls behind you can kiss your income tax return good buy and rightfully so. You married him knowing that he had children. They should always come before your needs. If you don't like that fact then you shouldn't have married him.
They can take all of your income tax return. Even if some of that tax was paid by you. It's been done.

If a guy is dating a single mom with kids, he can become financially liable for those kids if he breaks up with the woman.
That is total BS.
Since that is the law though, a woman who marries a divorced man who is paying child support should have to pay child support as well if she has contact with the kids for an extended period of time.
Personally I think all child support laws should be thrown out and redone.

Did you help make the kid? I didn't think so. You will not be responsible for the child support he will. It will come out of his check. And even though they may take some of the income tax they cannot take all of it because some of that tax money is yours that you paid out of your check. Does this make any sense?

They just look at his pay. However, whatever he gives to his ex is money out of your joint pocket, so in a way you're paying for it.

They don't look at your pay as long as he is paying and has a job.
