It's kind of a little secret in the gay community that a lot of the body builders you see at gyms are as gay as gay can be. One of my sister's best friends in college was a guy who worked out and worked at Gold's Gym. He was huge and he was NOT gay.
Well that was 10 years ago and his name today is Corie instend of Codie. heheeh He had the final surgery last month.

A couple of reasons come to mind. First, since they are gay they are pretty tuned in to what a good looking guy looks like, so gay guys have an ideal look they can go for, or at the least know what to avoid to not look pathetic. Second, they want to be with other guys so they want to be attractive so they keep the fat off and build muscles and wear attractive clothing which would be anything from a pair of jeans that fits Just So, to a nice suit, or a sexy swimsuit. Straight guys are pretty much used to being attractive to girls from their high school days so they tend to let their bodies slip, a gay guy will usually not do that.

Have you ever heard a bunch of guys talk about women before? The guy might be a poorly dressed out of shape slob himself, but unless a woman is big breasted with no fat and flawless face she will be mocked.
Now the tables turn with gay men. Men are just as critical of each other and we all know it. We all know what our ideal men should look like. Only we can't mock the opposite sex this time around. We must talk the talk and walk the walk.

I can answer that for you right now. Gay men are very very very very superficial. I'm bi and 22 and chubby. Hetero males care about their bodies to but women tend to look forward toward the future, by that I mean women want men that can support himself , hold a job basically hold his own. So most straight men feel like why should he worry about his body when he has a career that can support a family. Now gay men want men with perfect bodies, perfect hair, a big penis, etc. Now me being bi I date both sexes but due to the fact that I'm chubby I get rejected severely by men, but when it comes to girls I have no problem because like I said women are not that superficial. So to make a long story short and to answer your question lol when it comes down to dating with gay men its all about your body.
P.S. To they guy who said that fat means your lazy, boy do you have it all wrong cause I 've met some skinny lazy people in my life. I'm chubby and I'm more active then anybody I know.

hmmmm, let's see..
I'm straight, but i really care about looking good..not to the point that i make it a pain, though...its just important to look presentable.
I'll make an educated guess, though: I notice that there are lots of really creative and artistic membrrs of the gay community; that could be a factor. Also, alot of straight guys have got it into their heads that with women, they need to know how to get them interested ONLY (talking, etc.) so they forget about their looks. The last thing I have to say is that there are masculine gays and feminine gays, who tend to act and think like women. These are the ones that i see trying to make an effort to look good, just like women try...

because they are smarter than STraight boys...they know what is necessary in marketing. Straight girls I wonder about...why are they so willing to accept a couch potato who is so out of shape as to not be sexy in any way??? Gay guys are not that forgiving. A bad body is a sign of a lazy person. I, personally, have no use for lazy people. good luck

Straight guys tend to only care about there penis. They feel if they have a nice pecker then that's all they need. Gay boys care about there pretty feet and buns just like girls.

Because we're more concerned about equality than straight men. We abhor the straight man who has a beer gut so big he looks like he's ready for the maternity ward yet constantly remarks about how fat his wife (who weighs half what he does) is. I'm kidding. Seriously, we know what we like to look at so we make the effort to look as good as we would like our man to look.

Good question. And the opposite is true for lesbians/straight women.
Must have something to do with wanting to be viewed as a sex object.
