Don't think so... I know just as many people of other colors that have trouble... I think our country has a worse prejudice to poor people in general than those of color... That's to say the GOVERNMENT does not necessarily the people... Peoples prejudices are all over the map... The gov. has to stay a bit more p/c these days... Good luck in everything!

That is the most ridiculous thing I ever heard. Are you kidding? Everyone has social security numbers. I received 100,000 dollars in loans for my graduate and undergraduate degree. I also received a 200,000 loan to purchase my own home, and I brought a brand new car that I just paid off with a loan. I have never had any problems getting a loan. It has to do with your credit scores, assets and debt to income ratio. Anyone that think that way is lazy and is looking for a reason to be irresponsible. We as African Americans need to stop blaming others for our poor choices, and start looking harder at ourselves. Be greatfull that you are not in Africa where there is genocide and people that look just like you are killing each other. Also I have never had any problems with getting a job, this has to be the easiest place in the world to go from poor to middle class. I would have to say to anyone saying stupid things like that; Go to school and get a job. Stop the Madness people.

The numbers are randomly assigned numbers and this is a hoax.
A lack interviewing skills prevent you from getting a job, nothing else.
As a manager, I've interviewed hundreds of people of all ethnic backgrounds. I do not look at color, but the abilities of the person.
Do they make direct eye contact, shuffle, mumble and have an ability to communicate clearly properly in English? Then they have a chance to be employed. The performance they give at the work place will merit if they keep that job, get a raise or a promotion.

Just another way to blame somebody else for keeping the black community down. That way, no on there has to change or take personal responsibility because it's impossible with all these white people or government officials holding them back. I don't know how this kind of thing started, but I think it's sad that people are kept from success because of such nonsense.

I have been working for the government for 20 years. We are simply not organized or competent enough to put something like this together. SS# are coded somewhat. The first 3 digits, for example, indicate the state in which you were born. The last four are random.

that's ridiculous,, I am a white American, I have had hard times finding jobs and cant get a loan. Maybe it was because the job market is slim and a loan,, think maybe my credit score being low was a factor? I do.

Oh my God, why would you believe something like that? If someone is telling you that they must have a terrible self esteem problem and you will be much better off without them. Good Lord child, hold your head up high and get on about your business and quit wondering about such foolish nonsense!

maybe it is your credit score or criminal record.
not anything to do with race, the way you seek to blame others for your short comings, I wouldn't hire you either.
