The average guy remarries within 2 years. It's that lack of regular sex and someone to do his laundry and meals, I'm sure. If I had a guy of interest at the time, I wouldn't have waited any time at all. There really is no timeline. Some need healing. Some are healed by the divorce.

I have been divorced a year and an currently engaged. I really think it depends on your personal circumsttances. I say if it didn't work out the first time then it can only be better the second because you've learned what works and what doesn't. Don't worry about a time frame if it is mmeant to be it'll happen. Your new life shouldn't wait just because of your old one. If you are ok and want to move on go for it. Don't worry about how long it's been, concentrate on being happy, lifes too short.

Just be sure you are not remarrying because you are on the rebound or you will be going through another divorce. Though I do not know the details of your marriage, or how long you two have been apart. So it all depends on how you feel. Make sure it is the right thing.

Many states have a 30-90 day mandatory waiting period before one can re-marry. If it's the legalities you are concerned with, check at your local court house. If it's the moral issues that plague you, you'll have to decide on something that feels right for the two of you. What one person considers too soon another may not.

Some states have a waiting period. You don't want to violate that as it would render your marriage invalid.

Other than that, you might want to wait a little while to avoid having people think that you two were having an affair during his prior marriage. It might be important to his children if he has any.

By the way, congratulations!! I hope it turns out to be everything you want. I wish I could marry a best friend.

At least a year. Not just out of respect for him. But out of respect for yourself. Allowing yourself time to get to know yourself again. Even if you are seeing osmeone else and feeling like you are in love I think you should know what it is like ot be single again.

I like the AA belief that you should be single for a year after you sober up. I think a person should apply that philosophy to the break up of a marriage.

I would wait 2 years. Heal and go out there and enjoy dating again.

The divorce isn't final and he's already dating. Are you crazy. This is not a good thing. WARNING
