Rent a car and drive over the mountains to LaHaina. Gorgeous views of the Pacific shore line. About 4 hour drive, up mountains, down to warm seashore. Take a jacket, cold up there. Pack a lunch. Maybe see some whales. Old whaling village.

Drive to the top of Haliakala, an old volcano. You must give yourself time to arrive at the top, about 40 minute drive, very steep to be there as the Sun rises, good road. Leave before
4-5:00 AM.
DRESS WARM. Under 40 degrees.
If it's clear, you will see the sun over the volcano
LIKE DRIPPING HONEY.
On the way back down the scenery is gorgeous.
Used to be a wonderful cabin at bottom for breakfast. Can't miss it.
There are jungle waterfalls. Can't remember names. Inquire. If too much rain, can't go. Floods.
Golfing is great.

Honolulu, lot's of flat land. Great pineapples, Take all you can home. YUM. They have shipping. Have a Chi Chi for me. Don't miss that, vodka drink.
Bon Voyage!

I loved Maui. I went there almost 2 years ago and want to go back. I loved Honolulu too but Maui is more serene and not as crazy. Go to the city Lahaina, it shouldn't be too far from your hotel and it's more like Honolulu with bars and people everywhere. I'm sure you are getting a car so you can drive everywhere. Shopping is great for your wife but my husband and I enjoyed the snorkeling trip to Molokini and Turtle Town where you got to actually swim with huge turtles. It was beautiful. Snorkeling there is the one thing you should do. There's a restaurant called PacificO's in Lahaina that had a great halibut sandwich and gorgeous view of the ocean from inside. We also did a dinner cruise where whales were swimming along side us during a sunset. We also took the road to Hana. You'll find out about it as soon as you get there. It's a really long drive about 3-4 hours but there are a lot of tourist stops along the way. Hana is a cute small town with some more shopping and pretty good food. There are waterfalls along the way. I think the best waterfalls were called something like the twin falls and they were near a fruit stand. The walk there is about a 30 minute walk and you have to walk through a creek to get to the waterfalls but it was fun. Just wear water shoes and shorts and you should be fine. Have fun! Aloha!

Oh, that is a gorgeous place! Lots of golf, windsurfing and surfing, snorkeling, fishing, etc... rent a car and drive up to Hana on the top of the mountain when the locals are having their little flea market type thing... They have the Seven Sacred Pools up there and you can see the black sand, you can pull off and pick fresh fruit or crawl in a waterfall, etc.... Maui is awesome! And visit Lahaina - old whaling village, great shops/luau and Ka'anapali has great places to eat and shop, too
