If you mean that your stearing wheel shakes really bad when you step on the brake pedal then you have warped rotors , some people are going to tell you that y ou need to get them turned but don't do it it is cheeper to just go to advance or autozone and get new ones and you always want to replace your brake shoes when you replace the rotors.

if you step on the brakes really hard, the ABS will push the pedal back at you to stop the car from skidding, so you kind of have to fight the brakes.

It sounds like you need your rotors cut ,they are probably a little warped.
