Why is it bad for you to turn your back towards a mirror?

Because mirrors were thought to be gateways to spiritual worlds, I.e. Hell, and if you turned your back, a demon would take the opportunity to kill you.

They used to say some scary story about how your reflection would turn back around and grab you through the mirror or something.

thats superstitious bull-****. The only reason is, you don´t see anything anymore. But the mirror does not care. It´s glass, how should it?
