I think that first and foremost he is an entertainer that found an unique way to market himself. My boyfriend met him once after a concert and said that he is one of the coolest, most down to earth people he has ever met.

Well.........I think maybe his music could make unstable people snap but then again who's to say that a barking dog wouldn 't make them snap or a long line in a grocery store, Or the heat from the sun on a hot day? Music should never be an excuse to murder someone. If someone were to blame music I would say its a an excuse to get out of responsibility for their actions. I have no problem with whatever Maryllnn manson sings about it is just music!!!

Marilyn Manson or any other band can not make you do anything. If you alredy had dormant issues, they were going to be brought to the forefront one way or another, that is have they not been dealt with. Blaming music, television, video games, etc. is just a cop-out by neglectful parents who can't bear the idea that they failed as parents when Little Johnny gets into trouble, be it suicide, drugs, drinking, etc., because they've been the perfect parents and it wasn't until that damn Manson came along when Johnny started acting up. What a crock.

If you end up killing yourself or someone else , nobody's gonna be able to use that "Manson made him do it" excuse. They already tried that back in the 80's with Judas Priest , hauled them in to court and everything just cause some parents Judas Priest obbsessed kid killed himself (JP won the case) IT"S THE PERSON , not the music.

When Marilyn goes out and kills people himself then you've got to worry, but until then just think of him as a musician writing and playing strange music for strange people.
Music should be enjoyed and not taken so literally.
I'm not a fan but music is music...

If you don't have enough common sense, control - or just not mature enough to handle his music, stop listening to it. He did not force you to go buy/borrow/burn hid record. Nor did he force you to keep listening to it. If the song makes you feel nuts, you must like to feel nuts because you keep popping it in ypur player.

I think that people who are incited to violence by music probably already have violent tendencies. They may use music as justification, or to become desensitized to the idea of violence.
