Because its the busiest time of the day and people are rushing to get to work or get home.

Traffic goes slowest because everyone is in a rush to get where they have to go. This is either the hour that most people are on break or getting off of work...Tsk Tsk Tsk. The worst time of day.

Cuz people are rushing to get home at the same time . . . then they are rushing to find something to do in the car while they're stuck in the car like look for a good song on da radion or find someone in their cell phone to talk too :) Thats what I do.

Well...they should call it Rush HOURS with an s
because it lasts longer then an hour.
Anyhoo, everyone is in a "rush" to go to work and a "rush" to go home.

because at that time every one is rushing to get to work
then to many people rush on the highway it gets crowded there for jammed

thats why they call it rush hour

Because thats the time when everyone snorts cocaine and take other presciption anti-depressants to get the proper "RUSH" so they can better 'tolerate' the "stop 'n' go traffic!

Cause everybody is in a rush and want to get home. More cars, more congestion and more that want to butt in and make others have so slow down so they don't hit them.
