The space shuttles and manned rockets come back to Earth, so they usually don't present a problem. Some objects drift off into space outside of Earth's orbit, and I wouldn't worry about them. Even though it is "polluting" space, they're just manmade rocks in a sea of "natural" rocks and iceballs. It's honestly impossible to pollute space if there is nothing alive out there.

That leaves the objects in Earth's orbit, and those do present a problem. Some of them have crashed into Earth, but many of them are still up there. At the speeds they travel, they will severely damage anything they hit, from satellites to shuttles. Also, geosynchronous orbit (the orbit where an object stays at the same spot over the Earth all the time) is being filled up. There have been proposed missions to send up a space tug to clear a lot of the junk out, but these missions have never received funding. Most of the junk will come back to Earth eventually due to the Earth's gravity, and none of the objects will hit Earth upon re-entry.

See the answer on gravity, one by one all will be drawn back into the atmosphere & burn up unless they are big enough to survive the re entry where upon they will crash to earth.
