It is probably a software problem. I had trouble with Nero. I got Sonic's Roxio and all was well.

it would be rather rare to block u from burning cd's
it would have been more helpful it u told us the error messages
what version of windows, what writer program
i would advise usinstalling your writer program and reinstall it.

it can be due to many problems. a virus is only one possibility. maybe a driver is corrupted, or maybe your drive isn't working properly...

You have to add more details,, what exactly exactly u done? what meaaege appear to u? what is your burner program ?what is your operating system ?what u were trying to burn ? what is its length?
