The above answers are good. Remember that if you are using a Debit/Charge card and the pin number is stolen, they can clean out your accounts and nothing can be done about it. Remember, a debit card is not the same as a credit card where you can just report it stolen and dispute the charges. Be careful and always ensure that the site you are adding your information to is secure. You should be taken to a new pop-up screen or see a lock on the bottom of the page.
