Have our young British women lost the plot?

Question

where I live in the South of England there are a large number of Continental,Asian and Eastern European-"foreign women".
When you go out,be it at night or during the day the most of the "foreign women" seem to be trying, their hair is always groomed ,make-up is applied,clothes stylish, and know how to behave- they are making an effort.
The British or "home women" on the other hand look as if they do not care.A large number seem overweight, have bad hair and fall around drunk (normally this is only at night)-Its as if they do not give a ****. WHY

I am British but I live in Spain. I am disgusted at the number of young girls that come out here for 2 weeks and drink themselves into a stupor, often ending up lying on the pavements, everything on view with a couple of their mates, trying to help them up...they usually all end up in a drunken heap.....we must see this at least 20 times a night all over the town. I can't believe the way some of them head out for an evening either....squeezed into clothes that are far too small with layers of fat oozing out...hair that is neither washed nor combed and make up so thick that it runs all over their face and neck in the heat. You can imagine the picture by the end of the night. Obviously this is not all British girls, but it does represent a very large number. T

They need to take a look at their Spanish counterparts (or French, Italian etc.) whom you very rarely see drunk because they A) don't have the money, B) care very much about how they look, C) take a lot of pride in themselves and their reputation. A Spanish girl going out for the evening really does take time and makes the effort to look good and most still look good at the end of the evening. It is very sad but very true.....you don't really see British women as they are until you get out of the UK...ohhh btw I am a woman

Um, I don't strictly think that is a fair comment. I am a young 'home woman' also living in the south of england, and every girl I know buts a hell of a lot of care and attention into their appearance and we have very good manners. I think you have generalised us too much, but then again, you could say the same about British men. Foreign men e.g. the Italians and the Spanish are well dressed, trim and have sexy accents. The stereotypical english man round here is a fat, balding white van driver - but not all are like that!! If you think this about 'home' women, then i feel sorry for you, as you need to open your eyes and see that young British women - we rock!!

That's not a fair comment. I have my good and bad days, sometimes I walk out of my house without styling my hair. this has nothing to do with bad grooming- just lack of time. Have you considered that maybe these women have nothing better to do with their day. or possible these particular women have been raised to present themselves in this way for their husbands.... Im not being prejudice, but i have many female,asain friends. Who have been raised in this manner to attract the best suitor. Some even consider bleaching their skin to appear turkish.
I agree that the british youth culture is not great, but it does not help if you go around comparing people.... Get a life.

Oh yes i'm with you on this one I'm from the south as well but i'm lucky that a found one of the very nice ones who always looks great.
but i know what you mean the rest just aren't bothered about the way they look but if they look ok they are either so far up themselves or their just rude drunken chavs.
best thing to do mate is if you have a trade move countries, if i was single and not in the air force i'll be on a plane right now.

Looks wise, I would regard myself as an 8 ... maybe 9. No joke. Can I get an 8 or 9? YES, in America, or elsewhere, in this country, even 6s give you the up and down, what are you fcuking looking at look? Crazy. I genuinely hate English girls. My brother lives in America and notices the difference, pretty girls are so friendly and approachable, even to American guys .... his friends who came over here couldn't quite believe how rough English girls are

English guys are far better looking than their female counterparts... there's a HUGE mis match inthis country

Maybe what you say is true but where are you going ? Try a better class of establishment and you might meet a better class of girl who does care what she looks like and how she behaves. Not all young British women are as you describe.

Maybe too much value on women is placed on aesthetics? Perhaps women dont want to be just 'seen'! Why dont men wear makeup etc etc. maybe when women go out they dont always wan to attract attention but just want to have fun on their own terms.

I didn't really think British men had anything going for them. That's why I married a South African. ;) Aren't they all misogynistic, ugly slobs? or is that just what I'm imagining of certain people right now?

i live in same area, maybe the "foreign women" have more money, less stress as family members are usually very close by and have less hassle in dealing with snide comments due to the language barrier- in short dont be judging us british women, if you dont like THEN BOGOFF!!!
