Wow, you are a racist for having a political opinion. That's a new one.

If you are a conservative you are rich and never have to work? That's an old lie that's been used for years to tell people all the poor must register Democrat.

Conservatives consider themselves more intelligent because they take a more logical approach to the issues, though I've heard many liberals lately trying to say that about themselves. Conservatives are more likely to react to information that has remained constant for a long time.

Liberals consider themselves more intelligent because they are quick to react to whatever new news is happening right now. They have more of a knee jerk and often emotional reaction to today's news.

If you had a conservative and a liberal driving a car together, the liberal would keep the car from running over a cat running across the road while the conservative would prevent over steering and loss of control. Both would be upset with the other for touching the steering wheel. The two together would save the cat without driving through someone's house. The liberal would risk driving through someone's house to save the cat. The conservative would risk killing the cat to protect the house.

The quote "there is no such thing as a stupid question, only stupid people applies here". First, you question is off-based. There is no conclusive data that conservatives are more "intelligent" than liberals. If such a fact was to be established, one could argue the procedure through which the conclusion was met. Next, there are many connections with liberalism and high education. The majority of college professors across the country consider themselves liberal. Looking at Harvard University, more than 80% of students consider themselves liberals. So the next time you want to make a political statement use logic and valid information to prove your point. Maybe if you recognize the merits of conservatism and liberalism you will understand what I am talking about.

It does seem like liberals childishly attack people. Especially on Yahoo. Rational arguements and providing facts win people over.

It destroys their cause when all they do is scream racism or injustice over things that have nothing to do with race (see the bill that would make english the national language).

'Also the liberals should attack people like Moore and Sharpton that give them a bad name. The republicans are better at distancing themselves from nutjob people like Ann Coulter.

"hey aren't, but the average person remembers insults more than they remember facts. So when conservative "pundits" hurls insults at someone making an intelligent argument, all the typical person remembers is what insulting names Bill O' Reilly/Ann Coulter/Rush Limbaugh used against them."

I haven't heard of Bill personally attack someone. Coulter childishly does.

Not even conservatives believe this to be true. That's why they are always complaining about "liberal elites" and that the best universities are full of liberals. If you really believe that the folks at Bob Jones University are more intelligent than the folks at Harvard, then good for you, but you are kind of disproving your own assertion.

Never thought a whole lot about it. Now you have me thinking.

Yes. It took a conservative to nearly destroy America's future--it's called the Monroe Doctrine.

Jefferson Davis was a conservative.

Richard Nixon was a conservative.

George W. Bush is a conservative.

Hmm. You may be right. Maybe.

They have equal amount of stupidity, conservatives and liberals.
I would consider myself right centrist, not liking both ultra liberals and ultra conservatives, at list not like they are representing themselves today.
They do not fully give political answer so you sometimes take answers from either side.
The only think that decides is what works.
