Of course but you have to decide to be happy. I think each person makes a choice to be happy or not. We don't even realize we do it, but when you make a concerted effort to be happy, regardless of your circumstances, seems like you become happy. I think being happy is different for each person, decide what is important to you and then go after it and realize you will fail sometimes but the importance is not in the object of your desire but the striving to get it.

True happiness is being content with what you have. This can be obtained while we are alive. Many people have not obtained it, they want more and more and more, not even enjoying what they have, they are not grateful for what they have, and not totally content with it. There was a news article on the Internet a few days ago about a small south pacific island that is the happiest country on Earth and it said they are content with very little and live within the sustainable resources they have available to them.

True happiness to me is understanding that you can't change the whole world but you can change the part that you live by you being there for those around you and being the best person that you can be. You'll be happy because the ones you love will love you back and you'll know that your trying to be a great person. You wont have to doubt yourself :)
Do a random act of kindness everyday and you'll begin to feel true hapiness.

If you have peace and joy in your heart it's true happiness. It is possible to obtain it while we are yet alive.I was once a sinner. But since the day I accepted Jesus Christ as my saviour I'm filled with His peace &joy. Here's a chorus taught in SundaySchools.
I'm so happy this the reson why,
Jesus took my burdens all away.
Once my heart was heavy with a load of sin,
Jesus took my load and gave me peace within.
Now am singing as the days go by,
Jesus took my burdens all away.

True happiness? I think I have found true happiness. True happiness is being happy with oneself no matter what happens. And being able to accept the people in one's life for who they are without the desire to change them. True happiness is enjoying each day for what it has to offer. You have to be honest with yourself to enjoy true happiness.
