'yes, I think it is as good. Virus makers tend to target Mcafee and norton and try to disable them. This antivirus is constantly updated and doesnt slow slower systems down as much as some others do.

Well the lower overhead alone makes it better. I have not seen AVG cause the problems that Norton and McAffee do either.

I have used all of the above. And as long as you configure it right AVG is GREAT. another program that is very easy to use and works great is AVAST
