I used water to store my contact lenses and i put some used contact solution in the contact before i put each one in. During the day my eyes felt fine, but later that night around 3 in the morning my eyes where sooooo red. I looked like i had been smoking or something! Is it because i used water on them? And how long until they return white? This is sooo annoying!

Water is actually one of the worst things to store your contact lenses in - it can contain one of the worst bacteria that can cause a very nasty eye infection. If your condition persists please go to your optometrist immediately. In the future, do not store your contact lenses in anything besides fresh contact lens solution!

OMG what made you use water?! Always use fresh contact lens solution -- ALWAYS... and make sure to wash your hands throughly before handling them. Dont wear for some days, and if it persists I strongly recommend that you see a doc... some infections in the eye are very serious. In fact I'd suggest seeking help right now. Good luck!

You used water (I bet was tap water, which contains certain microbes), you used already used solution... Don't be surprised your eyes are red. Use Visine or any other eye drops. There's something wrong.
