well biochemistry is no joke..u got to know all the structures ..it is very interesting but has it applications,,especially if u want to go for the medical biochemistry which will have more value in coming years in india because of the pharmaceutical industry

it is very tough to get a place in the places mentioned before like iisc.ccmb...actaully very very tough......if u are hardworking and dedicated ,no one can stop u from entering those places..think abt it..all the very best

Biochemistry is a huuuuge field..u can just end up any where..It has got lotsa basics tho' to pursue research in great no: of fields...

And by graduation u mean to say Phd??..
If u are aiming for a Phd..do it in NCBS or CCMB or CDFD or IISc..these are all well reputed institutions in India..

Other than India?..then there again are lots of options..u have to check and find out

Decide first if you want to do clinical biochemistry or other, eg research biochemistry.

Pathology labs need to employ clinical biochemists, and the skills required are different (in many ways) to those needed for research biochemistry.
