if you breathe out of your nose it causes you to float up towards the top. so breathe out of your mouth on the way down and then hold your breath.

Depends on how deep the pool is too. If you can get to a deep pool like 12 or 17 feet deep, you'll get a good enough squeeze on your lungs so that you might find it easier to sink. Use fins to help you dive down, and that'll help you save energy. Sounds like what you're attempting is an activity called "static apnea." Be careful!

It's simple, go to the mall, buy a bunch of Mrs. Fields cookies and eat them while sipping on a Vanilla Bean Frappachino (also purchased at the mall). Then make your way to the Chick's Sporting goods store and buy a weight belt and snorkel mask. You can stay down there forever if you like...or until you need to get back to the mall for more Mrs. Fields' cookies...YUM!

You can:
1. Push all the air out of your lungs
2. Be as skinny as possible (Fat floats)
3. Handcuff yourself to the bottom of the pool. (Don't forget to bring the key)

Completely exhale before going down. However; having said that...some people are just lighter than others and have a harder time staying down. Good idea is to hold vinyl covered weight so you can let go and quickly rise to top.

I can't stay at the bottom either, but my husband can. He can't float at all. Always sinks. It probably has something to do with bone mass, muscle mass and body fat. Weights might be the only way to sink, but I wouldn't try it.

Simple laws of physics, you must push your self down by pushing up against the water with palms parallel to the surface of water. But as you bring your arms down, make them perpendicular to the surface of water in order to have the least amount of resistance.

You take a big breath and then blow it out. YOu will be able to stay at the bottom until your body needs more oxygen

Let out a lot of air. It'll be harder to breathe because your air's half gone, but it gets rid of the bouancy.

You can either put on some weights, like bricks (done that before, but dont tie them to yourself, just hold them) or exhale most of your air.
