You can go ahead and take that pregnancy test, but if comes out negative don't worry. Sometimes it takes a little longer to get a positive result. When I was pregnant with my son I had the Dr. give me a test and it was negative. A couple of days later I had some spotting and went back to the Dr. and I finally got my positive!!

Answer and first response both have early tests that u can take 3 or 4 days before u r supposed to start. both of these showed pos 3 days before, and the answer actually showed 5 days before. ept sucked when i took it though. common misconception-it does not stand for early pregnancy test, it stands for error proff test. i guess this would explain why it did not show a pos result until a week after i missed, they are desinged to measure a pos with more of the pregnancy hormone to make sure it is accurate.

some early test MIGHT show now! HOWEVER it will be more accurate after a missed period. If you are due tommorw BUY a test 2day take it in the morning with your 1st morning pee if + CONGRATS, IF - and still no period in 2 days test again HCG increases every 3 days so if you don't have a high enough level to show tommorw morning it may show later if you don't start. You could do a test 2day but, the 1st morning pee will have the most HCG hormones in it so it might be a waste of money to take one sooner then tommorw morning.

You could be stressing so much that you are prolonging your period. I've done this several times and a week later started. Settle down and take a test 4-5 days after your period was supposed to start.

Be patient. If you haven't gotten it in a couple days take a test. I used the First Response because you can get a box with 3 tests. If the first one comes out negative then wait a few days and do another one. Good luck.

It worries me to see all these woman asking all of these basic questions about their bodies and their cycles….and then getting all these different answers – and usually most of these answers are WRONG!
This is my standard answer......... go get a book called Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler. It will help you understand your body and all the myths about it. It will help you time when you are ovulating and the best times to conceive. My Doctor recommended it to me and after 1 year of trying I got the book. It worked the very next month. It turns out that my timing was wrong due to mis-information. I hope it helps you, too! It's not only about getting pregnant. It's about knowing your body and knowing when you are fertile or not. You can pick and choose what you do with your info. Good luck and don't listen the all the myths!

you can take the test as early as four days before your period is to start. IF you are preggie, it will show. Sometimes the line is faint since it is so early, but it is a strong hormone and makes an effect. Just to be sure get at least three tests. This way you won't be relying on just one test, that could be defective. Good luck!

You should be able to take the test now. If however it comes back negative it doesn't mean that you definetly aren't. If you still haven't had your period a week after you were supposed to get it then you can take another test then.

Take one now. 1 in 3 days. 1 in a week. Assuming you don't get a positive on the first one!
Good luck to you!
