When someone lies they tell you a very detailed account of an event (e.g. where they went until 3.30 in the morning) in a very precise chronological order which shows that they have planned it all very carefully. People who are telling the truth about an event tell you about the main bits and then maybe fill in the gaps but in a random order.

If you ask a question and the person looks left as they think, they are thinking up a lie. If they look right, they are trying to recall something, so they will tell the truth. It's has something to do with our brain and the different areas we use for different things. Apparantly our eyes are linked to our brains, I guess they were right....the eyes are indeed a window to the soul.

Hope that helped.

They usually look up and to the left, this is a sign that they are thinking. The truth doesn't require as much thought as a lie

The often touch their nose or ears, look away when they lie, blush or smile nervously. They look up and to the right (to the left is telling the truth) and they may pause before or during speaking, as if checking their lie.

That is a tough question to answer. Being able to discern between truth and lies isn't a skill that can be taught. You just sort of have to have that intuition. You have to learn to do it on your own i think.

Some will ignore the question by not answering or changing topics.
While others will not look at you in the eye if talking face-to-face.
I think there are some who fidget with their hands...just anything to distract from confronting the situation or answer.

Their nose grows

No, I would say, they look shifty, looking at the floor or away from you, it's all in their facial expressionl, plus things don't add up ... you can always throw them a counter question you know the wrong answer to, and see if they agree or go along with it. For example my mate just left my company because he stunk at our job, said he went to a rival firm, I said to him "oh yeah, Jodie from reception just moved there didn't she?" to which he agreed, but she doesn't .....

You may think you are telling the truth, but what if what you think is true, is actually untrue? Then you'd be lying. Truth is a highly variable thing: What's true to you may be untrue to me.

I would say its ..by the way the beat around the bush...nothing makes any sence, avoiding eye contact as much as possible....sometimes changing their stories ......I know someone who does this quite often...and its like them crying wolf one to many times.
