Since society is composed of humans it would stand to reason that conflicts within that society are caused by humans. Therefore, it is the nature (or make-up) of humans that cause that conflict. Think about it this way: Would there be conflicts in society if there were no humans? Back to your question: The answer is yes.

Well, of course we can. We can "blame" human nature for society itself.

But the problem isn't so much that there's conflict in the world; it's that our tools for resolving these conflicts are still fairly primitive. I think there were always be a place for violence, but I do wish reason and argument had a somewhat more prominent place in the world.

It is conflict between creators, and creation. Creation, society, took over creators or authors of it, us.. Creators of society put creation in a position of dictatorship by worshiping its OWN creation.Same as with God. Now modern Christianity and the rest as well, serving two masters, weekdays worshiping all powerful society and weekends worshiping all powerful Deity. No wonder, that all kind of conflicts becomes something considered to be normal and not even noticing that we sitting on two chairs, having ONE BUTT.

of course human nature can be blamed, but as time goes on our nature does become different and adapts to the society we are part of. so in many ways you can blame corporations, governments, and the media, which also goes back to man's nature of wanting to control his surroundings. its just easier to point the finger.

Yes, human nature is partially to blame. However, there are other factors that contribute to it as well, such as overpopulation, and competition for limited natural resources. Of course one can make the point that both overpopulation and competition are part of human nature, so I guess yeah, it is all human nature s fault

Yes we can, at least for most of it. We have a basic of right and wrong and how to apply common sense. Also you may come into conflict purely of no fault of your own, but rather through actions and decisions of others.

I believe we can blame lunacy for the conflicts...lunacy in the US, and lunacy of fanatics who care nothing for their fellow countrymen's lives. Human nature is not necessarily fanatic...that is a learned characteristic, learned from very bad teachers.

well, maybe. you humans are not naturally conflictual beings. it's when humans try to be what they are not ment to be that brings all these conflicts into place. you humans should just stay were you are meant to be. keep the world in order by staying in order. until then your world will be just getting worse and worse.
