You can usually find discounted tickets online, just be aware that a lot of tickets online are not legitimate tickets. So you may find out later that you are spending more for the tickets.
I always get my tickets in a package with my room, and purchase from my travel agent. You can also purchase directly from the companies, for the same cost. I also buy tickets only with my travel agent (or directly) This way I know the source is reliable and I can get the best rates that are currently being offered.

I have found 3 good places in this order:
A good travel agent that you trust can set you up with a good price plus alot of pomo stuff that is not usually offered from the big two themselves. We have made out gangbusters by doing it this way.
Universal and Disney. They may not offer the cheapest deals but they will work with you all day and answer every question you can think of.
(one word of advice, staying in Universal hotels is worth the extra money. By being in Universal itself your hotel key is your speed pass plus you save on walking and travel.)
Yahoo, Orbitz, Travelocity.
Stay away from eBay and private people selling things and deals. There are alot of horror stories of people who have gotten the shaft going that route.

some hotels will give you discounts if you stay there, so ask the hotels if they give discounts
