Has anyone heard about the aerial hunting massacre on wolves in Alaska?

I want to help wolves and I need to rasie awareness about this crisis. If you want to help, sign the petition at savewolves.org. They need you help!

This is a declared massacre, by the Defenders of Wildlife. It is when there are only a few thousand wolves and they want ot kill 1,000 a year. Believe me (A HUGE WOLF LOVER) I have done my research and I would not ask that question if I didn't know the FACTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not a John Kerry fan or a liberal. I am an extremely educated minor who could kick people's butts when it comes to wolves! Don't mess with me smart alecks out there! PLEASE< have some decency!

Thanks for the considerate people out there who make a reasonable comment. And wolves only occasionly kill livestock, because hunters are killing their food (deer,elk,etc) and people are moving into the only land they have. They kill to live and it is the people's fault that they took the wolves resources away!

I had to look up a little information on this to be sure of what you are talking about. There are over 7,000 wolves in Alaska right now, they kill about 200 wolves a year in aerial attacks. The reason is predator control. Too many wolves= less of other wild life that the wolves eat. Wolves have no real predators, they just breed and breed. I do not condone this practice, but before you get all lovey dovey animal rights activist, research the reason. This is not a massacre, they arent trying to make the wolves become extinct in Alaska. I seriously think that people like you search all day on the internet for things to protest, get a life. If you want to protest something in alaska, protest the fact that they want to create a new pipeline that cuts off the migration route of the caribou, this would kill all the caribou in Alaska because they wouldnt be able to go farther south during the winter to stay warm. All for oil.

tell them to stop eating the farmer's cattle and other livestock. Wolves are a menace although there have been no reported attacks on humans they slaughter and kill thousands of head of cattle a year!
