Yes, a twelve year old can go to the theater, but some theaters have regulations about whether 12-year olds can go into PG-13 movies, and you probably won't be allowed into any R-rated movies. So, if you want to see something PG or under, then go for it, so long as you take a friend with you and make sure to let your parents or guardian know where you're going and how long you'll be gone. :)

I would advise against it, I was around 12 and I went to the Theater and some weirdo guy tried to pick me up. There are pedos all over especially gay ones, watch out and be careful

it's hard to say if a 12 year old is capable of taking care of themselves. I think it all depends on the maturity of the individual. And if the individual is a mature person he or she will know that it's not very safe to attend a theatre by themselves. After all, you can't enjoy a movie with having someone to enjoy it with.

sure, as long as the 12 year old either meets up with a friend at the theatre or has a cell phone so he can contact a parent.

If you don't think the movie is appropriate you'll both walk out of the theater.

If it's a girl no,but if it's a boy mabye. If the boy is pretty big(I don't mean fat)and knows how to use his commen sense then yes and he can go with a girl, but personally I think he or she should go in a group.

As far as I know, there aren't any laws against such a thing. So, if the kids can physically make it there, then yes.
