How do I send the coding on a page to a web designer to work with?

if u mean html codes
go to View menu
and select source
and send him the txt file

Right-click an open area of the page and hit 'view source' ...that opens up a text file that shows the code...in the upper-left corner of that window click 'File' and select 'Save as' from the drop-down menu. Re-name it and save it as a text file. When you send your email, add it as an attatched file.
