Not that I've found. I also don't think you can set up an e-mail for a return receipt.

A tactic commonly used by spammers is adding a Search string to the end of an image file name.

eg.
www.123.com/ICU.jpg?asfv32gskj4kjd02a

When you open an email with an image in it, they can check their web usage logs and see which people opened their emails. This is why it's ALWAYS a good idea to disable HTML in your email.

No because it is a privacy feature. Alot of people would not want the sender to know if they opened their e-mail because once they recieve it becomes their own private property so to speak. It is a "none ya" business feature.
