From what I'm getting, you want to know a way to present an unbiased view of history, right? Well, history is always in the eye of the beholder or the winner. Two nations battle, the losing side portrays the victors as barbarians who used underhanded tricks and the winners portray the losers as idiots who needed help and should be thankful for being helped. That always happens. Perhaps a multiple perspective view of history--giving a worldview of each event--could be the place to start.

Beyond the written history (as the winners always allow the events to be known and only the ones they want) if would be great to identify legends, myths and other sources to get closer to The Truth!
