What so call "Israel" is a West-made country, implanted in the Middle East.

Though sometimes mired in political correctness, which sometimes works towards its detriment, for the most part I think Israel is an admirable country. The fact that it is a democracy in a part of the world that inimical to the rise of a democracy is laudable. When you take into account the fact that Israel thrives despite religious antagonism that surrounds it, and that it does so even after making generous territorial concessions to its enemies, you have to praise the substance of such a people. Then when you look at the historical formation of Israel, as refuge for Jewish people who have been persecuted and massacred through the centuries, and how it has arisen from its unlikely victory over powerful Muslim powers to become an economic and militaristic powerhouse, one is even more taken back by this tiny country.

If Bush and the American people had even the fraction of the resilience that the Jewish people and the state of Israel have, the world would be a different place.

Israel is very strategically located in the Mediterranean...it is a shame people in the Middle East are at war. Each culture and state has something to offer.

It would be difficult for me to think of a Middle East without Israel. The state of Israel is a working democracy with people and segments of its society being represented in the Knesset.

Peace is the answer for Israel and its surrounding neighbors.

the best country out there next to the USA. plus they have a way better military than those arab nations, that we can all see clearly now. the arabs will be defeated with a quick and swift military action soon. arabs are cowards, they hide behind ski masks and shoot old russian rockets that dont do any damage. there armys always surrender to israel and the west as soon as we bomb them. arabs are weak and scared now that ISRAEL is putting on the offencive. if you look right now it takes 4 nations over there to take on ISRAEL who is 1 tenth the size of those nations put together and ISRAEL is destroing them quickly. dont worry my friend, we all now that the arabs will back down as soon as we get involved. and i am speaking from expierience here from the first persian gulf war. we came and they were so scared they quit before we evan had the chance to make the sky fall on them. every single one of them raised there dic-k skinners in the air so fast we all laughed at them. TRUE STATEMENTS THERE BOYS!

I kind of feel bad for them. After WWII, Great Britian put them on land that the Palestinians had been living on for thousands of years.....a recipe for disaster!

The United States supported Israel with weapons and money. Israelis kicked the Palestinians out of their homes and businesses and left them with nothing. Wouldn't you be angry and willing to die to make the Israelis lives miserable too?

Although I feel bad for both sides, the Palestinians got the short end of the stick and until there is a solution to the Israeli/Palestinian land issue there will never be peace in the middle east.

I think that they are still worried that the world wants to wipe them out so they have spent the last 58 years giving their neighbours very reason to hate them by their overbearing militaristic and fascistic attitude they learnt from their German captors. If they could learn to talk and negotiate and not to over-react every time they can't control every last little aspect of their destiny, they'd have a much easier time. I live in a country with different races and religions, if my ethnicity were to react as a group every time another ethnicity were to assault or murder one of ours by punishing every single member of the other ethnicity, it would be chaos and madness. SO thats what it is for Israel. They reap what they sow. And they are so blind they are telling fibs and they probably don't realise. Instead in my country, if an interethnic murder happens, it is treated like this, the perpetrator is a common criminal and is tried and jailed. There are no revenges nor retaliatons against their family or friends, their actions were their's alone, if they have cohorts we get them too. But we don't go around murdering them without trial and we don't bomb their families and we don't invade a neighbouring country and kill their civilians. And I have three ethnicities, two of which the British attempted to wipe out, in one case they tried it on three major occasions. At one point they wiped out 85% of us. The other ethnicity was 95% wiped out.

SO GET A GRIP ON YOURSELF ISRAEL, YOU DON'T SEE ME GOING AROUND KILLING THE PEOPLE WHO KILLED MY RELATIVES, AND YOU DON'T SEE ME KILLING THE PEOPLE WHO DIDN'T DO IT EITHER.

AS A NATION YOU ARE MAD WITH FEAR AND VIOLENCE. YOU NEED THERAPY. PLEASE HEED THE WARNING BEFORE YOU FULFILL YOUR NATIONAL DOOM AND THE DOOM OF EVERYONE NEIGHBOURING YOU, BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF YOU CONTINUE ON THIS PATH. WE GET THE MESSAGE, YOU ARE NOT GOING TO LET ANYONE COMMIT GENOCIDE ON YOU AGAIN. LAY DOWN YOUR ARMS AND TALK TO YOUR NEIGHBOURS. WORK SOMETHING OUT. i like them, they are the underdog, and they dont put up with any nonsense. as far as the argument that they just steal land to become a state...historically that was their land, just like historically it was the palestinians. they both have claim. If you have any belief in God then you have the belief that God promised them that land thousands of years ago through Abraham the patiarch of the Jewish people. Since they are already there back in their "promised land" i think it would be best for them to once and for all root out all the elements around them that keep attacking them...they seem to be content to just have their homeland and dont seek a global empire or to own the entire midle east like muslims or americans do...so i see them as a people that want to accel and have their own country and live in security like anyone else...imo those rogue countries and factions around them are the troublemakers and are really everyones enemy...they should be put down and totally disarmed.

ISREAL is a country like any other ... and its people are just like any other country. However, I think there is way too much conflict in the middle east and I think some of this conflict needs to be abated, as opposed to stirred up by such parties as the US government.

Like each and every religious state (including The Vatican) it is a bandit state. No religion should ever be allowed to have their own state, let alone nuclear weapons.
