He, she or it probably doesn't know- since I don't believe in a God that has a physical form it probably knows it has power to do things but is not necessarily aware of the self, perhaps a little like we feel when we dream- we influence things or see things happening or react but we don't think of ourselves as existing.

Since this is the folklore section, I'll answer your question by telling you the story of Shiva and the hand mirror. Shiva had a mirror that showed, of course, only him. Being a god, he decided, was very lonely, with only yourself to look upon. So he shattered the mirror into millions of little piece, and in each of the pieces he saw himself, but he was no longer just one, so he was no longer lonely.

He has been here since the beginning of time. No one knows how He came to be. It is a faith issue. No one can prove He exists, but you can believe in faith that He is real.

He has always been aware of HIM-Self, he became an energy of awareness in time before time became time, that is why he has his own time, and many dimensions of time, that is why for HIM there is not time, between pass, present a/o future, but only time. and time is a force he can control such as Evil is a force, that he can control
