I bought him tickets to a Nickelback concert because the 1 year anniversary gift is "paper" and we have dinner reservations. But I want it to be extra special... any creative ideas?

Duh. Men are pigs. Do the obvious. But just a thought and it's not always easy to do, convince him you love him more then you ever dreamed you could. Deep inside were all scared little boys and there's nothing like security

Tell him quietly that you respect him (if true) and that you would marry him again.

rent a hotel room and leave the key with the tix. tell him in a love letter to meet you at this hotel after the concert and that youll be wearing your birthday suit

Start your move by giving him, a very special love making (pleasure and joy) where he will never forget. E.g bath together, do a special type of kisses;etc.

congrats! our one year anniversary was last week. we didn't do anything traditional with present. actually we didn't exchange presents at all. we had a BBQ/party with all our closest family and friends to help us celebrate.
