Should All Marriages have 2 year time limits where they are automatically disolved and each party leave with what they bought. A person should be able to renew after 2 years with a 2 or 5 year marriage only after all assets are divided clearly.

No. God meant for people to be together forever.
What is the use of getting married just to divorce in 2 short years.

I agree they should have a term limit and solid rules about dividing up the assets, taking care of kids, etc. 48% of first time marriages end in divorce. The average marriage lasts five years (I think). This is NOT an anomoly. It is the norm. It is time we as a society stopped pretending that all is rosy and we can deal with the legal issues around the end of a marriage as it it were an unusual event.

Even though it's difficult, "til Death Do Us Part" seems longer than 2 years. Instead of dissolving after 2 years why don't you take an additional 2 years prior to getting married to be sure that you two are right for each other. Good Luck

No, because some of us actually are trying to make our marriages last, and something like this is an insult. I've been married for 13 years and I don't need the law to further demean the institution of marriage by treating it like a drivers license.

p.c. limits are a street protection project, marriage is a civil and human rights project... marriage isn't an animal rights project or an inanimate gadgets rights project . i imagine there has been sufficient time to talk the hazards that you foresee, like as an instance all and distinctive desirous to marry their mailboxes or different pleasing red herrings if gays are given equivalent marriage rights... i'm so confident. i imagine a thanks to help marriage is to help marriage, for Christians and for gays. As i don't recognize of any mailboxes or red herrings who're soliciting for civil rights equality in the hot day we won't be able to problem about them in basic terms now.

Do you propose to dissolve the children in this marriage??? Perhaps with Draino? Get real. Don't get married if you do not intend to make it last for a life time. Marriage is NOT going steady...contrary to what I see here!

Marriage is meant to last for a life time, more people don't understand this, and that is why the divorce rate is 51 percent, we don't need to make it higher.

That's kinda weird. Where would you get an idea like that? I love my husband, and I think that only people who truly love each other should get married. Then you don't have to worry about what you will leave with when you get divorced.

I don't think so, marriage is supposed to be for life. What you are describing is a relationship... what some people would call common law marriage.

um, no. maybe people should get to know who they are going to marry before jumping into marriage and work on their problems instead of running for the nearest lawyer.
